When we set up Pure Greens we set up with one intention. To grow and supply the best microgreens to the EH15 area. Like our greens, we’re born and bred in the Portobello area and we wanted to supply a valued, local service to people who appreciate the body and life benefits that Mircogreens can offer. Everyday this aspiration drives us.
Our offer is exclusively for people local to the EH15 postcode. We deliver our greens locally by bicycle with a zero carbon footprint – From seed to salad, our microgreens are as friendly to the environment, as we are to our customers. The environment and healthy living, bind us together. Together we strive to be the best as humanly possible.
Our way of life
Growing microgreens has always been something of an obsession for us. We were introduced to microgreens by a family friend as a great way to get our kids to get the right kinds of nutrition without having to eat piles of traditional vegetables. What started as an experiment in new meals as turned out to be a way of life for us all.
When we started thinking seriously about microgreens, our ambition was to create “perfect greens”. The process we follow is is our own and we’ve found it to be the most exacting and meticulous way to create great greens in small batches. So naturally, we’ve followed this process and adapted it for our own local customer needs.
We started off experimenting at home with some small trays – hardly glamorous, but our makeshift greenery was a great way to test dozens of different seeds and sprouts with water to see which worked together the best. When we were confident of our small batches, we expanded our greenhouse and that became the start of our first greenery. We grew, refined and grew again – over hundreds of batches and thousands of hours – before finally we created the greens we believed were stable enough and good enough to call our own. Greens that were worthy of putting our name to. Pure Greens.

All our Microgreens grow on a two week cycle. We take the greatest of care to ensure that the nutritional quality is 100%
Harvest
Each batch is hand cut, ensuring no waste or loose leaf will find its way into you delivery box. Guaranteed!
Deliver
We deliver exclusively to the EH15 postcode area on the day of harvest. We’re a proud local supplier to the people of Portobello and Joppa
